Millwall will wait until tomorrow afternoon to see whether Lee Gregory is fit to face Peterborough, Neil Harris has confirmed.
Gregory, 27, picked up a rib injury during the Lions’ hard-fought 2-2 draw at Wigan on Tuesday night, leaving him a doubt for the League One fixture at London Road.
And Harris said he has to manage his resources carefully given the hectic schedule awaiting Millwall.
“We’ll have to see how Lee Gregory is as we approach kick-off tomorrow,” he said.
“He got a whack in the ribs against Wigan but still didn’t want to come off the pitch.
“We’ll see how he goes."
With the striker a doubt for the match against Peterborough, Harris may turn to 32-year-old Steve Morison, who impressed in the Lions’ 3-0 win over Rochdale last week.
“Steve will certainly come back into our thinking,” Harris, 38, added.
“We’re learning that it’s hard for players, especially attacking players, to go time and time again.
“It’s a big ask for them to play three games in a week or four games in ten games. Especially at the work rate we put in.”
