Roland Duchatelet is in town right now but Addicks head coach Guy Luzon was giving little away when asked what the club’s plans were for next season.
The Belgian owner has made one of his rare visits to London and was at the club’s training ground this lunchtime.
Luzon spoke to the media at the same time and was asked if there is a different approach to their relationship from when the current Charlton boss was in charge of Standard Liege.
“I speak with him a lot,” the Israeli said.
“At Standard Liege I saw him more because he lived in Belgium but we speak the same amount.”
Luzon was then pressed on whether the main reason for Duchatelet’s presence was to get the ball rolling on summer transfer targets.
He replied: “We don’t deal now about next year, we want to focus now only about the game against Blackburn.
“When we finish this season we will start to work on next season.
“And when we assemble our squad for next season we will know what our ambition is.
“I always have ideas (on new players) but in football every week it changes because it depends on the quality of the players.
“All of the players (here) have the chance to be in the squad and we will see.”
