THE Bahamian High Commission has called an "immediate" meeting with the parents of a toddler killed on its beaches - just months after snubbing them.
Yesterday, Paul and Andrea Gallagher met with representatives from the Met Police and Foreign Office, where they received a 100-page police review into their son's death.
Two-year-old Paul died after he was struck by an unlicensed, unregistered and uninsured speedboat in 2002.
No-one has been prosecuted for his death.
In April, News Shopper and the Gallaghers, of Repton Road, Orpington, tried to deliver a petition to the Bahamian High Commission, but were locked out.
Now the joint British and Bahamian review has been submitted to the Bahamian attorney general's office, which will decide if any further action will be taken.
Mr Gallagher, 42, said: "This is most definitely a step in the right direction."
