A REVIEW into the death of a two-year-old boy killed on a beach by an unmanned speedboat is now complete.
Although Orpington toddler Paul Gallagher died from his injuries in 2004, no-one has ever been prosecuted for his death on Paradise Island in the Bahamas.
In February, News Shopper launched the campaign Justice for Paul, which was backed by Virgin boss Sir Richard Branson and amassed nearly 1,000 signatures in support of a reinvestigation into his death.
In August, two senior Metropolitan Police detectives were given the green light to fly to the island and review the fatality.
At the time of going to press, Paul and Andrea Gallagher were meeting with representatives from the Metropolitan Police and the Foreign Office to learn the result of the review into their son's death.
Ahead of the meeting, Mr Gallagher said: "We have been waiting more than four years for the Met Police to go over to the Bahamas and investigate.
"We hope and pray manslaughter charges have been brought and we can now somehow get on with our lives."
