It's a wonderful world we live in right enough. Nothing ever needs to be your fault any more. A t least it certainly seems that way when you read the continuous stream of banal whining and whinging from parents of out of control kids; parents who blame everyone else but themselves.

So today's helping from the platter of moronic delights come courtesy of the mother of an 11 year old boy, the family living in Strood in Kent. The child, for that's what he is at age 11, managed to run up a bill of £1082.52 in 6 months on his mothers debit card, playing on line games on his Xbox and buying accessories and add-ons for it as well.

Now his 37 year old mother (shown with her son in suitable "poor us" pose in the paper) entered her debit card information so her sweet child could play on line at a £5.99 a month.

Now that totals £35.94 which is a lot less than the final total the little charmer ran up.

The mother now apparently has an overdraft but does she tell her son off? No she complains to Microsoft for making it "Too Easy" for her son to spend the money.

No they didn't, you stupid woman YOU made it too easy by putting YOUR card details into an on line machine and leaving it in the hands of an 11 year old child.

The mother, who is quote "a sales executive and part time singer." (!) then said "I work two jobs just to look after my family and pay the bills, so I cannot afford all these extortionate charges".

Now listen you stupid ****** - first off whether the charges are exorbitant or not really is of no matter, what does matter is that you stupidly gave your son enough rope and, when he hung himself, suddenly it's not your fault.

YES IT WAS YOUR FAULT! YOURS AND YOURS ALONE!

Now I hope that Barclays bank go for her throat because she has clearly contravened the accepted rules of owning a debit card by effectively allowing someone else to use it, not least of which an 11 year old with clearly no financial sense at all other than "I want that so I'll buy that".

I have to say that this also begs the question as to how the mother remained blissfully unaware of the cash dissappearing from her account for six months like she claims she was.

Just where did she think the accessories and new features were coming from?

Were they gifts from someone on the ivory coast taking time off from sending emails to the rest of the world about viagra deals and long lost relatives who've died and left you $12,000,000 in a locked luggage locker on the Gold Coast?

For God's sake woman - get a grip, get a life and start taking some parental responsibility for the child you brought into the world!

Ticked off? Yes, damn right I am.
