I am the project manager for the WRVS tea bar at Kingston Hospital and am writing to say how nice it was to be mentioned in last week's Surrey Comet by June Sampson (in the June Sampson Feature March 15) thanking us for our services in the outpatients department.
We have 17 volunteers, 16 ladies and one gentleman who between them provide a refreshment service for patients and staff between 8am-4pm Monday to Friday, with all profits being donated to Kingston Hospital. We would like to send June Sampson our very best wishes in her brave battle with cancer, and hope she will be able to come and have a cup of tea with us in the not too distant future.
