Out of the 200 friends I have on Facebook, I have seen the following comment posted on two status.

Shame on you ENGLAND !!!!!! the only country where we have homeless without shelter, children going to bed without eating, elderly going without needed meds, and mentally ill without treatment - yet we donate £50 million to the people of Haiti ... 99% of people won't have the guts to copy and repost this - will you I would like to know what you think of this kind of comment, are you in agreement? Would you post this comment to your facebook profile? Would you “like” this comment or do you think it is far too harsh.

My personal view is, I know our country is in trouble and I know there is poverty all around us, I know the state f our national health system, I know what is going on around me, but seriously hand on heart could you really really let those people in Haiti sort this out with no help?

This is quite frankly a third world “corrupt” country who desperately need our help. I for one am quite happy to help, as am I quite happy to help other national charities that I feel are close to my heart, I am one person but I do what I can when I can.

I don’t know if anyone else had Radio London on this morning as they had children ringing in from around London telling us what their schools were doing to raise money to help the people of Haiti and most of their ideas came from the children themselves as they WANTED to help out. So what kind of message is that Facebook giving our children.

I would love to hear your thoughts
