A JURY has been sworn in for the trial of two men charged with murdering two French students.
Dano Sonnex, aged 23, of Etta Street, Deptford, and Nigel Farmer, aged 33, of no fixed address, both deny murdering the students on June 29 last year.
They also deny arson and falsely imprisoning Gabriel Ferez and Laurent Bonomo, both 23, at the students' flat in Sterling Gardens, New Cross.
Farmer denies stealing a bank card, a credit card, two Sony PSP games consoles and two mobile phones from the flat.
Sonnex has pleaded guilty to burglary.
The Old Bailey trial is set to last six weeks and will resume on Friday (April 24).
