WHAT a difference a few days can make in the swap world.

It took a while to get going, but now offers have started coming in for the £2,000 party voucher / marquee hire which is the latest item in my Swap Shopper challenge.

Some people have posted their offers on the website and other people have contacted me privately through email.

Some people have offered cash and others have offered items to trade, though I'm not going to give a rundown of all the offers or say what is best, at least not for now.

What I will say is some of the offers have been really good - and very interesting - so I'd like to thank everyone who has made one so far.

I do want to make a decision on this latest swap fairly soon, but I also want to allow more time if there are still people out there interested in making an offer.

To recap, a few weeks ago I started out with a humble News Shopper keyring and said I wanted to use it to raise £1,000 for charity.

This would be achieved by bartering my way through a series of swaps until I had something valuable enough to trade for a donation of at least a grand to a good cause.

Three trades on from the keyring and I now have on offer a £2,000 voucher provided by Bromley businessman Damian Bischoff to spend with his prestigious marquee hire and events company Beaumont.

You will need to provide somewhere for the marquee to go but you can choose what sort of event you want to stage and when, between now and the end of next year.

You could get the wedding reception you've always wanted, a lavish party for friends and family, a corporate event, a celebration for your sports club - anything at all.

Like I said, I want to raise at least £1,000 for charity through all my trading so you could offer to make a donation to your favourite good cause in exchange for the Beaumont voucher.

Or you could offer another item, product or service to trade with me to keep my bigger-and-better swap chain going.

To make an offer for the £2,000 voucher contact me on email at sbull@london.newsquest.co.uk or call me on 01689 885713.
