THIS is strange - almost two weeks since I first announced how I'm virtually giving away a £2,000 party voucher and I've had no offers.

When I started my Swap Shopper challenge by offering a humble News Shopper keyring as a swap, I received 11 offers.

I was offered such tempting items as a driving lesson, a bicycle wheel and a tin of travel sweets from people who were desperate to take the keyring off my hands.

Three trades into my mission and I've landed a fantastic £2,000 credit with high-class Bromley-based marquee hire and events company Beaumont.

I was expecting interest of epic proportions in this latest swap.

I was expecting a stampede from brides-to-be, business people, sports clubs and families with big celebrations coming up, all wanting this HUGE boost towards staging the party of a lifetime.

Nothing yet though, which is very weird.

A keyring got 11 offers. This has got no offers, yet. It's very odd.

The deal on offer is simple to understand. All you have to do is offer me something - another item or a cash donation to your favourite charity - in exchange for the £2,000 voucher, and it could be yours.

Even if you haven't got a specific occasion coming up, why not throw a party just for the sake of it? The extra kudos you'll gain from being able to throw such a lavish bash will be immense. Your popularity with your friends will never be higher.

During the course of my swap quest I've used various other places on the internet to get the message out there and advertise my trades.

But Gumtree, Loot, Craigslist, Myspace, Facebook and others have been a waste of time, all trumped by the mighty News Shopper.

It's currently News Shopper 3, Rest of the World 0 because all three trades so far have happened thanks to publicity in the Shopper.

Let's keep that fine record going - come on people, don't let me down when I need you the most.
