SHE may have snubbed News Shopper's Voices Against Violence campaign but Jacqui Smith has redeemed herself by making me a Swap Shopper offer.

At least that's what I thought when an email landed in my inbox over the weekend.

But as I read the email it soon became clear it was not from the Jacqui Smith who is Home Secretary.

Instead it was from a Jacqui Smith who is a station supervisor with London Underground.

Jacqui's offer was for a Charing Cross Northern Line 100th anniversary commemorative mug and watch.

Sadly she wanted to swap these items for the Tony Hadley meet-and-greet experience, which as I announced on Friday has already been traded.

So I have had to inform Jacqui that regrettably the swap she was chasing is no longer available.

Had her offer come in just a day earlier I would have given it serious consideration as it was very generous. Anything relating to London transport can be very collectable.

One kind offer which I did give some serious thought to came from Jennifer Schmidt, all the way over in Hamburg, Germany.

So keen was she to meet Tony Hadley that she offered one of her prized possessions, a picture by London-based street photographer Ronya Galka.

It was with great regret that I turned Jennifer down. I liked her offer a lot and she endeared herself to me further by saying she's a huge Tony fan and also "I really admire what you are trying to achieve".

After a previous offer from a Tony Hadley fan in America, it is great to know news of my Swap Shopper challenge has also spread to Europe. But foreign interest was not enough to tip the balance this time.

The offer which I have accepted for the Tony Hadley experience was just too good to refuse.

The £2,000 credit with Damian Bischoff's Beamont marquee hire firm was an awesome offer.

I'm expecting some sizeable cash offers for this, one or which may get me to my £1,000 goal for charity.

I'm also expecting some amazing swap offers to come in, one of which may lead me to continuing my chain of barters still further.

Who knows where this latest fantastic opportunity will lead.

But as with the three other swaps so far, I'm willing to consider anything.
