A Latin American restaurant in Camberwell has applied for a license to sell alcohol and open later.

La Caribena, located at 319 Camberwell New Road, has lodged an application with Southwark Council.

The application posted on the Public Notice Portal relates to a new premises license for the Latin American restaurant.

The proposal includes selling alcohol between the hours of 12pm and 11.45pm from Monday to Saturday, and between the hours of 12pm and 10pm on Sundays.

The application, which was handed over on June 6, 2023, proposes to open later from Monday to Saturday from 11pm to 11.45pm.

Google currently displays La Caribena opening hours from 10am to 11.30pm from Monday to Sunday.

The application is open to any interested party who wants to make representations – these must be made in writing to the Licensing Service or by email via licensing@southwark.gov.uk.
