A pub in Bexleyheath will be closed this week to allow for the renovation of their bar area.

The Kings Arms announced on Facebook that it will remain closed from Monday, January 8 to Friday, January 12 to carry out renovation works on the bar and bar tables.

While the pub is closed, they will also utilise the closure for their Christmas staff parties.

The Bexleyheath pub, in its social media posts, reassured customers that although after the makeover it "won't be the same again", they will be back to business from Saturday, January 13, appearing "fresher than ever".

Meanwhile, it proceeded to confirm that they will be hosting live music on the evening of opening night, featuring Jeremy Peter Allen, and would also resume Saturday lunch services on January 13 for regulars missing their menu.

"I’m sure you’ll have some fantastic staff parties."

In September 2023, the Bexleyheath pub was recognised as the best for entertainment in the Great British Pub Awards.

The pub, dating back to 1843, was celebrated for its consistent program of events including live music, quiz nights, and Sunday Cinema Club on the roof terrace.
