A pile of parcels were left on the streets of North Eltham last weekend, with some of them opened.
Royal Mail has confirmed that a driver who was working under an agency left a pile of parcels on the corner of Dumbreck Road and Grangehill Road.
Once Royal Mail were notified, it said they were "collected quickly".
Despite most parcels being delivered, a spokesperson for the Royal Mail has confirmed that they are “working to establish the addresses of some items which were opened”.
An investigation has since been launched and the driver no longer works for the Royal Mail.
A Royal Mail spokesperson said: “We are aware that a driver working for us through an agency left a pile of parcels on the street, which were collected by us quickly.
“Most of these have now been delivered and we are working to establish the addresses of some items which were opened.
“The driver no longer works for us, and we are investigating the matter.”
