A man from Lewisham has been jailed again after he stole wine and tobacco from a Co-op store.
William Kpato, 58, stole the items on March 3 from a store in Bromley.
He was found guilty after a trial at Bexley Magistrates’ Court and on Thursday (September 14) he was jailed for three months.
This is not the first time he has been jailed for supermarket thefts.
Two years ago he admitted to stealing a backpack, angle grinder and jacket totalling £43.97 from an Aldi store in Catford on October 10, 2020.
Kpato, of Sydenham Park in Lewisham, also admitted to burgling a Tesco store in Lewisham Road, Ladywell by trespassing and stealing £91.50 worth of alcohol on July 12, 2020 while on bail for a previous offence.
On that occasion he was jailed for 18 weeks.
