Kent Police is investigating after five ducks were found dead in a field in Swanley following a “barbaric” attack.

The ducks were found dead in Crockenhill and were killed between 10am and 9pm on Thursday, August 3.

Officers went to the scene and carried out enquiries.

The ducks were killed at a bird rescue sanctuary run by Linda O’Mahoney, her son told the News Shopper.

Linda posted on social media: “Chip was nine-years-old and his four ladies were rescued from a horrendous commercial egg farm.

“As far as I can tell they were clubbed with tree branches and one was skewered with my garden fork.

“Electric fencing batteries, a wheelbarrow and bricks were thrown at them.

“This is absolutely barbaric. I am sick to the core.”
