A man from Orpington was ordered to pay £200 after he was caught in public with three offensive weapons including a large hunting knife.
Giles Cook, of Norsted Lane, was caught with a six-inch hunting knife, a lock knife and an expandable baton in the Premier Inn car park in Bakers Quay, Gloucester, on March 14.
The 44-year-old was charged under the Criminal Justice Act 1988 and the Prevention of Crime Act 1953.
The case was heard at Cheltenham Magistrates’ Court on Monday, July 3.
Cook was ordered to pay a £114 victim surcharge as well as £85 in costs - totalling £199.
A community order was imposed.
Cook must complete 100 hours of unpaid work within the next 12 months.
