Mourners gathered today at the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich for the funeral of Jacqueline Gold, the trailblazing Ann Summers boss who passed away last month from breast cancer at the age of 62.

Jacqueline was credited with transforming the Ann Summers chain and being a champion for women in business.

Her hearse, covered in flowers spelling Mummy, pulled up at the historic site in brilliant sunshine, and pallbearers carried her coffin up a flight of steps to the service.

Among the mourners was Jacqueline's close family, including her husband, daughter, and sister Vanessa.

Jacqueline was surrounded by her loved ones when she passed away, including her sister, who took over Ann Summers in 2023 after Jacqueline's passing.

Jacqueline was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2016, the same year she was awarded a CBE for services to entrepreneurship, women in business, and social enterprise.

She believed in finding the positive in every situation to banish worry and feel empowered.

Jacqueline wrote about her breast cancer diagnosis, saying it transformed her life as it forced her to enjoy things more.

Her father, David, had given Jacqueline Ann Summers and its four stores to her in 1981, and it has now grown to 80 stores with annual sales of £113.8 million.

David Gold, the co-chairman of West Ham United, passed away in January at age 86 after a short illness.

Vanessa described her sibling as 'an absolute warrior' for her resilience during her battle with cancer.

Jacqueline's father had died just weeks earlier before her passing in March.

Jacqueline's legacy as a trailblazing businesswoman and advocate for women will live on in the business empire she created and the lives she touched.
