Two fire engines have been at the scene of a burning vehicle on the A20 near Swanley this morning.

At 6:30am, crews from Kent Fire and Rescue Services were called to the scene where a vehicle was alight.

According to AA Maps the incident was reported on the A20 Swanley Bypass London Bound between the M25 and M20 and the B2173 Maidstone Road.

No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is unknown but believed to be accidental.

The incident was dealt with the issue by 9:05am.

A spokesperson for Kent Fire and Rescue Services said: “Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called at around 6.30am to reports of a vehicle alight on the A20 near Swanley.

“Two fire engines attended and crews wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet to extinguish the flames.

“No injuries were reported.

“The cause is not yet known but is believed to be accidental.

“Stop time: 9.05am”.
