Heavy traffic at Blackwall Tunnel due to broken down vehicle
There is heavy traffic at the Blackwall Tunnel in both directions this afternoon (June 24).
This is due to a broken down vehicle on the southbound side, which was cleared shortly after 5pm.
Traffic tailbacks on this side are currently beyond Bow Underpass.
It comes after the tunnel was closed northbound for twenty minutes earlier, before re-opening at 3.50pm.
There is still congestion along Blackwall Tunnel Approach to Shooters Hill Road (Sun In The Sands Roundabout) as a result.
