Nineties girl band B*Witched will be performing at this year’s Gravesham Riverside Festival, it was announced today (May 3).

The pop group, who’s top hits include C’est La Vie and Roller Coaster, reformed for The Big Reunion nearly four years ago - alongside Atomic Kitten, Blue, Liberty X, 911, Honeyz, and last year’s festival headliners Five.

It will be a return event for one half of the double-denim loving Irish quartet, twins Edele and Keavy Lynch, who starred in Robin Hood panto last Christmas, at the Woodville.

Keavy said: “We are really looking forward to playing in Gravesend in the summer.

“Edele and I are especially looking forward to it as we spent the whole Christmas period there last year.

“The audiences were great and everyone was so welcoming, how could we not be looking forward to that again?

The line-up at the two main stages on the prom will include tribute acts to recently deceased David Bowie (DavidLine), boyband Take That (Fake That), teen sex symbol Justin Bieber (Just Bieber), UB40 (Rats in the Kitchen) and local band the Unknown – who will kickstart the musical performances at midday.

The festival will have the usual array of food stalls and fun fair rides as well as a Circus workshop – where people can try their hands at juggling, or learn to balance on stilts.

The Country Fayre on the Square will have a wild bird display, ferret racing, pony rides, traditional games and helter skelter at Fort Gardens – whilst there will also be live music on the bandstand.

The Riverside Festival takes place on July 23.
