A Gravesend man has been fined more than £500 and handed a 12 month community service after admitting to racially aggravated behaviour.
Martin Back from Park Place pleaded guilty to racially aggravated harassment and racially aggravated threatening behaviour at Medway Magistrates’ Court on December 17.
At a restaurant in King Street, the 29-year-old was found guilty of using racist language and behaviour, which was directed towards another man, on March 9.
Magistrates sentenced Back to 12 weeks in prison, suspended for 12 months, and ordered him to carry out 100 hours of unpaid work in the next 12 months.
He must also pay £450 costs and an £80 victim surcharge.
