Bexley has the second lowest property price of any London borough – according to government figures released today.
Property prices have risen so rapidly that now only two boroughs, Bexley and Barking & Dagenham, have an average price which is below £300,000.
In Bexley, the average price for a home is now £287,732 – compared to the London average of £481,820.
This is still an increase of 13.4 per cent from last year, and 0.8 per cent from last month – indicating that Bexley may be catching up.
In London, prices have increased by 9.2 per cent and 1.8 per cent respectively.
In other News Shopper boroughs, Greenwich (£362,407), Bromley (£386,538) and Lewisham (£402,861), house prices are significantly higher.
Barking and Dagenham has the lowest average property price in London, at £278,604.
