Travellers have pitched up in Goddington Park in Orpington.

The park, off Goddington Lane, is playing host to the caravans which moved on to the site yesterday (July 27).

Police were called the green at 9.45pm last night after receiving reports the mobile homes had entered the park.

MORE TOP STORIES Officers found 10 caravans at the green, which is owned by Bromley Council.

Police have served a notice to the occupants to leave.

Residents have taken to social media to vent their frustration.

Many have said that it is spoiling the school holiday season when children and families would be playing or picnicking in the park.

Others have criticised the fact no vehicles, even cars, are allowed onto the grass.

Some claimed the lock on the gate had been broken.
