Police have renewed an appeal for witnesses to a double stabbing on Halloween in Shortlands which left a 17-year-old boy at death’s door.
Thirteen boys, aged between 13 and 17, were arrested after he was knifed at Queensmead recreation ground shortly before midnight on October 31.
Police say the victim nearly died from his injuries and spent almost two months recovering in hospital.
A 16-year-old boy was also stabbed in the leg during the violence but was discharged from hospital a few hours later.
The suspects have all been bailed until dates in August and September.
