Residents are hoping a crowdfunding campaign could make one of Greenwich’s key streets greener.
East Greenwich Residents Association wants to raise £25,000 for work on Trafalgar Road.
They plan to cover street barriers with plants, install a green canopy in an alleyway to create an outdoor seating terrace and work towards setting up stalls.
The association wrote: "Green Trafalgar Road is about getting the ball rolling and encouraging major improvements on our high street. We want to turn it into a place for people and the community.
"If we can reach £6,250, we will be in the running to receive funding from the mayor. If we can reach £25,000 by the August 31, we will be able to green Trafalgar Road."
So far, more than £2,500 has already been pledged. Find out more here.
