Hundreds of people flocked to Bickley for a school festival complete with snakes and birds of prey.

Bromley High School, along Blackbrook Lane, held their third annual community festival on Friday (July 3).

Young and old alike turned out in the glorious sunshine to enjoy a mechanical rodeo bull, a climbing wall with an afternoon of Samba and singing.

Solo musicians and choirs took to the stage to entertain the crowds, including special performances for senior citizens.

MORE TOP STORIES Four legged and feathered friends also joined in the fun, with a mobile farm, a variety of snakes and reptiles to hold and a bird of prey display.

Stalls lined the grounds selling home-made cakes, candy floss and ice-cream which followed a morning of sports in the grounds.

Headmistress, Angela Drew, said: “It has been a glorious day. The girls have loved playing host to their friends and family and it has been a privilege to open up our grounds and share the fun with our neighbours in Bickley.”

The day was held in support of the school’s chosen charity, Majorie McClure special school in Chislehurst.
