A 44-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of rape after a woman was allegedly assaulted in Plumstead on Friday (May 1).
Officers from the Sexual Offences, Exploitation and Child Abuse Command are investigating a serious sexual assault against a woman in Plumstead Common Road just after midnight.
A 44-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of rape.
He has been released on police bail to return on a date mid June pending further enquiries.
