A man who burgled a Dartford home and stole two cars in 24 hours has been put behind bars for three years.
Jacques Perrine, 40, stole a Honda Jazz from Aspen Close, Swanley, on January 27 last year and the next morning he broke into a home in Hawley Road, Dartford, and stole an Audi A4 worth £25,000.
Perrine, of Canning Town, was found guilty of one count of burglary in Dartford and pleaded guilty to two counts of theft of a vehicle. He was found not guilty of a burglary in Swanley.
He was sentenced at Maidstone Crown Court to a total of three years in prison.
Kent Police’s investigating officer Detective Constable Mark Donovan said: “Perrine went on a 24-hour crime spree, burgling a home and stealing two vehicles.
“Throughout the trial he continued to deny committing the burglary in Dartford, but he was found guilty by a jury.
“Perrine now faces the consequences of his actions with a three-year prison sentence.
“I hope this result sends out a strong message to anyone else who thinks they can get away with committing burglary.”
