David Evennett, MP for Bexleyheath and Crayford, has officially opened the expanded and refurbished headquarters of Sense Trading in Crayford.

Mr Evennett cut the ribbon during an event in the Bourne Road Industrial Park on September 19.

Sense is a national charity supporting deaf and blind children. From its Bourne Road headquarters the charity's 90 shops and eBay business empire are managed.

Mr Evennett said: "Retail makes up a significant proportion of charities' incomes and is an important source of revenue.

"I was pleased to go behind the scenes to learn more about Sense's retail operation and meet those who work hard to support their shops."
