A number of green chain events will help walkers get into the Autumn mood.
Lesnes Abbey in Abbey Wood has recently won lottery funding to improve its gardens and woodlands while Danson House and Hall Place in Bexley also boast impressive heritage sites.
Each Monday at 10.30am an organised walk takes place at Franks Park in Belvedere starting at Fox House Road and each Tuesday an ancient woodlands trek happens at Bostall Heath Car Park at 10.30am.
A seven-mile Green Chain walk will begin at Falconwood Station exploring Erith via Lesnes Abbey on October 25 from 9.45am.
The Green Chain is a 50 mile network of footpaths that stretches from Erith Riverside all the way to Dulwich Park.
