A BECKENHAM film producer has unveiled a movie which aims to highlight the real consequences of London’s gang and gun culture.

Twenty-three-year-old Darren Baba, who has worked on projects such as The King’s Speech, Downton Abbey and The Iron Lady, produced Circle of Revenge.

The independently-funded film by fimmakers BHM is the true-to-life depiction of gritty urban life in south London where two rival gangs get caught up in a vicious cycle of revenge.

It is based on a web series of the same name which gained over a million views online and features a south London cast which is entirely under 25.

Mr Baba said he wants the film to educate and open up the door for debate.

He said: “Living in London all my life, I’ve had to learn to accept that gang and gun crime has sadly become a growing part of our culture, what I refuse to accept is that we are powerless to intervene and achieve a positive change.”
